1. Check Your Tires - Your vehicle’s tires should be regularly checked for proper pressure, correct balance, and rotated regularly, ensuring they will last longer by evenly spreading the wear. Or, if you’ve got snow tires on your vehicle, now is the time to think about switching back to your all-weather tires since snow tires may wear out faster on dry asphalt than all-season tires.
2. Check & Replace Your Wiper Blade Inserts - Ice, cold, and the constant freezing and thawing of water on your car during winter make the rubber blade inserts on your wiper blades split, crack and become brittle over time. Those cracked, dirty wiper blades will mess up your windshield when summer rains arrive. Now is the time to replace those wiper blades with fresh ones so you can have confidence that you’ll be able to see clearly even in rainy weather.
3. Get a Battery Health Test - Cold temperatures can be brutal on a vehicle’s battery. The colder it is, the more of a battery’s “juice” is required to start your car. After a cold winter, the battery on your car might be on the verge of needing replacement.
