The new Volkswagen ID.4 is a premier all-electric compact SUV with an incredible flair for style. The 2024 model comes with all the standard features you would expect from the ID.4 name, including LED headlights, wireless charging, heated seats, and a driving range of more than 200 miles on a single charge. Expect the vehicle to release in three trims: Standard/Pro, S, and S Plus. Consumers can choose between rear-wheel and all-wheel drive, plus two battery options: 62 kWh or 82 kWh (in terms of gross capacity). For 2024, Volkswagen has made some additional upgrades to the ID.4.

Highlights & Features

The larger 82-kWh battery now comes with a performance drive unit that increases the vehicle's power to 282 horsepower for the rear-wheel drive models and 330 horsepower for the all-wheel drive models. For comparison, the 2023 model is capable of only 295 horsepower at its maximum capacity.

These same premium 82-kWh models also come with a larger 12.9-inch infotainment system with backlit sliders compared to the 12-inch display in the 2023 model and the standard 2024 model. They also have a new shifter position, infotainment menu, climate control interface, and improved steering wheel layout.

ID.4 S trims with an 82-kWh battery receive ventilated front seats. All S Plus trims receive a nine-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with a subwoofer and 16-channel amplifier. The Standard all-wheel drive trim now comes with larger 20-inch aluminum alloy wheels, while S Plus trims receive 21-inch machined alloy wheels.
